If you're not familiar with Orange Theory Fitness, it's a boutique fitness studio chain that includes over 1,200 studios in all 50 U.S. states and over 23 countries.
Orange theory has become a popular choice of workout, for it is a Hiit total body group workout, designed to charge your metabolism for more caloric after burn, give you more results, and helps one gain more confidence. Although Orange Theory seems to be very popular now a days, it can also be very expensive, especially for college students
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, all gyms were closed, forcing people to get creative with workouts. After looking up countless workout videos, I came across Orange Theory's website. They had an amazing idea to give people 30 minute at home workout videos, all linked to YouTube so it was easy to find. And.. did I mention that it's FREE?
I started to combine and average about 2 classes a day, giving me a whole hour of Hiit. The classes ranged from lower body, to upper body, to full body, letting you pick which one you wanted to complete/
The instructors in the videos all show a lot of energy, making the class a challenge even though you weren't actually in the studio. Instructors take you through the workout step by step, cheering you on, just like they would if you were at the studio. This is something I still use today to help me save money, as well as get a great workout in with a professional coach to guide me.
This is one of my favorite ways to stay fit while also taking a fun class that is completely free to anyone who signs into Youtube. I also think this was a great idea on Orange Theory's part, because the more people use the videos, the more attention the fitness studio gets, eventually helping gain customers.
