BEST PLACES TO WORKOUT IN TAMPA BAY - BY: KAYLA KOSUBINSKY

Workout, With a View!

Being outdoors can improve your health and well-being in many ways such as: Lowers your blood pressure and reduces stress — Spending time walking among or simply looking at trees lowers blood pressure and reduces the stress-related hormones cortisol and adrenaline.

Being in Tampa, Florida, I feel so fortunate that most days then not the sun is out. Being from New York, that is something that I've never been used to. Getting active outside has been one of my favorite things to do once I moved to the sunshine state.

Here are some of my favorite workout spots to hit, with some of the best views.

Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park

Just 5 minutes from the University of Tampa, this beautiful spot includes tennis, basketball, and pickle ball courts. It also includes a multi-use field with artificial turf which provides exercisers with a variety of options to choose from.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

Probably my favorite spot to workout in tampa, Curtis Hixon is the perfect spot for all kinds of workouts such as yoga, walking, running, biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, and there is even a small dog park for dog owners. This extends from the Channelside area up to Tampa Heights.

Courtney Campbell Causeway

For my bladers, this is one of the best spots to roller blade around tampa. the Courtney Campbell Causeway stretches approximately 9.9 miles (15.9 km) from eastern Clearwater to Tampa's Rocky Point island and subsequently to the mainland of western Tampa. Runners and bikers are also found at this spot both morning and night.

Bayshore Boulevard

An extremely popular spot for HITT workouts, walking, running, jogging, blading, biking, etc. This breathtaking spot right on the Bay includes a 10 inch sidewalk, water fountains, benches, and a few exercise stations. There is also a 3 mile long bike trail.

It's easy to workout in the Sunshine State with the views above. Get out, get active, get views!
